蒲立本（1922—2013），加拿大著名汉学家，曾任剑桥大学汉学教授，在唐史研究方面有突出成就，后转向古汉语语言学研究，并在哥伦比亚大学出任教授。曾任加拿大亚洲研究学会会长(1971—1974)、美国东方学会会长(1990—1991)、国际汉语语言学学会主席(1995—1996)等。
